A Twitter user has leaked the logo and artwork of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in a tweet posted today and fans are going wild

There are a lot of Call of Duty games out there that gamers can play and one of the most popular sub-series in the game is “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.” Modern Warfare is the second sub-series in all the installments of Call of Duty games. There are 2 games in the Modern Warfare series and to the players' delight, a third game is on the way this year. Activision has been teasing all its fans with the potential release of the game ever since the release of Modern Warfare 2 last year. The game is one of the most popular and largest series of first-person survival shooter games, so this revelation has taken the gaming internet community by storm.

In a tweet posted by Twitter user, @algebra_sloth yesterday, the logo and artwork for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was leaked mistakenly. Here’s the tweet posted on his Twitter account:

The images in the tweet seem to be promotional material for the game in collaboration with Monster Energy Drink. They seem to be customized boxes with Call of Duty artwork for the Monster Energy Drink. The promotional material seems to include the logo for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It also features the main protagonist character of the game, Captain Price. A small snippet also features Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley, who is a beloved Call of Duty character known for his iconic skull-patterned mask. Some fans are also suggesting that the villain of the Modern Warfare sub-series, Vladimir Makarov can be seen in the promotional material of the Monster Energy Drink boxes.

Activision, the publisher of the game, confirmed last week that all the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 bundles, weapons and operators will be carried on to this year’s game release in the series. This game release is, of course, the potential third installment aka Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but it hasn’t been officially revealed or announced yet. With this leak on Twitter though, fans are quite certain that this year’s game release for the Call of Duty series will be the third installment of the Modern Warfare series. And this time, the development of the game is being led by Sledgehammer Games. 

There have been past leaks regarding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Activision has sent DMCA takedown notices to all of them. Hence, it won’t be long before this Twitter post is also taken down. The damage is done, and fans are going wild with joy. Because to them, this is like an official announcement that they will get Modern Warfare 3 this year and honestly, we agree because this is huge.
