Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Officially Announced!

The latest installment in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series, Modern Warfare 3, was leaked last month on Twitter and now the official release date is out

Teasers and trailers for a lot of games have been released in 2023, but not all of them were the ones that fans were longing for. What fans were truly longing for was the third installment of the renowned first-person survival shooter game series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Fortunately for them, the most anticipated third installment has been officially announced for release today! The name for the game releasing later this year is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (CoD: MW3). It is a first-person survival shooter game series with two released games so far with the third coming later this year. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game series was created by Infinity Ward and distributed by Activision. 

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Name, Logo and Release Date Announced

Fans were widely anticipating the release of the game since last year because Activision said a new game was in the making for 2023. Fans were itching for more updates on it and boy were they served with some updates! Last month, a Twitter user by the name of @algebra_sloth accidentally ended up leaking the name and artwork of the third installment in the Modern Warfare series. In a now-deleted tweet, the leaks were of promotional material for the game in collaboration with Monster Energy Drink. Fans were immediately convinced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was going to be released this year. To them, the promotional material in collaboration with Monster Energy Drink was solid proof of release.

Rumors and leaks had been pointing to the inevitable release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for months and now it is finally official! Fortunately for fans of the game, earlier today the official release date for the game was announced on Call of Duty’s official Twitter account. The tweet included a teaser trailer for the game showing the official name, logo and release date for the game. Here’s the tweet that was shared:

The teaser video included in the tweet shared details of a fair few visuals that have fans on the edge of their seats. The teaser trailer is narrated by the main protagonist character of the Modern Warfare series, Captain Price. Alongside that, the teaser trailer also features the standard wavelength illustrations of the Modern Warfare series. The wavelengths featured were first portrayed in the color green before morphing into a scarlet red color. This signifies that the new motif and main color scheme of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be a scarlet red color. This is quite new because the last two games in the series featured a green, black and white color scheme throughout the whole series. 

The main part of the teaser trailer is when Captain Price says, “Never bury your enemies alive”. This is when we see a snippet of the main villain or popular antagonist of the main Modern Warfare series, Vladimir Makarov. Lastly, the release date for the game is shown in the teaser trailer, which is November 20. Yes, you read that right, the release of the game is only 3 months away! Of course, there is a lot more to be released about the game itself, about how the plot will be, which characters we’ll get to see and vice versa. Yet, everything we’ve seen so far is enough to keep us on our toes for the release on November 20.

The full reveal for the game is yet to be done, but we suspect it will be done as a part of a special event. The special event will be in Call of Duty: Warzone, where possibly the whole gang i.e. Task Force 141 will come together with Ghost. It will be yet another fantastic worldwide first-person survival shooter adventure, unlike any other. Surely there will be more reveals regarding CoD: Modern Warfare 3 because this was only a teaser trailer. The full campaign, multiplayer adventures and whatever else the developers of the game have up their sleeves is yet to be revealed.
